Tom Gallagher is a lawyer, journalist, non-profit CEO and publisher and filmmaker. Tom founded Religion Media Foundation, which produces content on the topic of ecumenism and the role of religion in society, and funds student scholarships and grants to academics. Tom’s award-winning documentary, Amen-Amen-Amen: A Story of Our Times, tells the story of the first Jewish community formed in an Arab-Muslim country in centuries (Dubai) and the gift of a Torah Scroll to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, which Torah Scroll is dedicated to the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed, the Founding Father of the UAE. The film was broadcast on PBS in NYC and premiered in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, Tel Aviv and the Vatican.  Tom is an Executive Producer of the documentary titled, Baseball: Beyond Belief, based on John Sexton’s NYT best-selling book, Baseball as a Road to God: Seeing Beyond the Game (Gotham, 2013), which was broadcast of Fox Sports One and screened at the National Baseball Hall of Fame.  PBS in NYC will broadcast the film in September 2026.

Tom is producing a documentary titled, American Nazis: The Christian Front and the Legacy of Hate, based in part on a book titled, Nazis of Copley Square: The Forgotten Story of the Christian Front (Harvard University Press, 2021), written by his cousin, Jesuit priest Charles Gallagher, a history professor at Boston College. The focus of this project is of the impact of Christian Nationalism on U.S. democracy. Tom has other projects in production.

In April 2025, Tom received the Eirene Award in the category of Peace at the inaugural Global Justice, Love and Peace Summit in Dubai, one of only 28 honorees selected by an independent committee representing 28 countries.   Tom lives in Riverside, Connecticut.
